!!!!!!! to dwelve into the way i made this website kinda and the inspo i took. i based my website from this pinterest board i made. you may recognize some images i took from there. the silly red-haired bug catboygirl you can see in my sitebox and on my homepage is my sona ig?????? i drew it myself :3 thats me :3 to make the collages on my landpage and homepage i used the app shuffle and got really inspired by ruralrose!!!! go check them out i love their website. other inspo for my guestbook specifically is blanktriptych and vmpiivr!!!! both really cool and underated websites. long live visual kei based cluttered personal websites. big inspos of mine. ofc ofc i cannot forget rosrets whose literally been an inspo and a website i looked up to since i discovered neocities. you can still see their influance on this page <3 uhhhh and also my homepage has heavily been inspired by websites from the mid 2000s i stumbled upon, like damned in black. gotta be one of the best websites i've seen out there, and all of its versions are imcredible. i've also been inspired by lovelyd's layouts and tutorials, and i used project zero's brush for clipart (for photoshop that i've adapted to krita) to use for my homepage <3
im hope i havent left out anybody or anything. this will expend, as my brain feeds off the content i consume to put it into code :3

okay so i was a scratch kid. like my dream was to make a full video game on scratch using the cherry tree background i remember. i never got to making it but it was like, the premise or the foreshadowing of my future coding grind.
second thing was at the begining of high school, where we had a class that taught us anything vaguely technological and it was taught by a history professor (low budget rizz) (they cut the class a year later) and at some point we were taught basic html and css, and i liked it and somehow learned quicker than the tech bros in my class. so my teacher showed me his PERSONAL WEBSITE TM which was a napoleon fansite. it was ugly, it was yellow, it was outdated, but it was so beautiful. i was in marvel at the possibilites. he then proceeded to teach me CTRL+U to view the source code of any pages, which i would then use in front of my friends and pretend i was a hacker.

erm erm errr so my actual webmaking journey started somewhen during january 2023. i had nothing to do (except homework) so i was scrolling through the discord of the aesthetic wikia (sorru </3)(cringe, i know), looking at the different aesthetics people were speaking of, reffering to diverse articles. and i found webcore, i already knew about webcore and thought it was neat, but wanted to read the page anyway. turns out it was actually well written, and the article mentioned at the time cameronsworld.net that i liked very much, neocities and spacehey, both on which i imediately signed up to. you can still check out my neocities (inactive X_X) and add me on spacehey (active again :3!!!! friend me there).

but im not just an aesthetic whore ! looking into webmanifestos (i'll make my own eventually) especially during the yesterweb's glory days, i tied the act of webmaking to my personal political and ethical beliefs. except for my pinterest that is my pride and joy, and sometimes discord (my discord is nyani58! dont be afraid to talk to me!) i've distanced myself from most social medias and prefer using the indie web instead.

i quickly enjoyed coding and all, making my horrendous first homepage (although never finished) using sadgrl's layout builder. and then i made more pages i was always unsatisfied with, made numerous forever unachieved projects, made friends, distanced myself from webmaking, and a year later or so, somewhen in april 2024 i thimk, i found nekoweb! it has been the home to my website ever since, although the updates are very low </3. im so happy about all the support i've gotten since, and cherish all of it.
